National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally regulates academics for hospitality and hotel administration and other eleven structured courses of studies that are imparted at the existing 26 Institutes of Hotel Management and 10 Food Craft Institutes located in different parts of the country. All Institutes uniformly follow standardized course curricula prescribed by the Council for the different professional programmes.

Admission for 3 year B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration Program is carried out on All India basis by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pusa, New Delhi. The eligible candidates are required to resister themselves for an All India Written Joint Entrance examination (JEE) held at various Centers throughout the Country. The examination is normally held in April/May each year. An objective type written examination in English and Hindi to test the candidates in:

* Numerical ability & Scientific aptitude
* General Knowledge and
* English language
The final selection is on the basis of the overall performance in Written Entrance Examination and the options of IHM, which the candidate wants to take.
