CBSE Schools Abroad CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education is the central body to conduct the secondary and senior secondary school examinations in India. There are more than 5000 schools affiliated to CBSE in India and abroad. CBSE also prepares syllabus for the schools affiliated to it. Taking a significant move, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to introduce online registration system for its affiliated schools located outside India. From 2008 onwards all affiliated schools outside the countries can apply online which will ensure accuracy and timely receipt in India. The CBSE affiliated schools in other countries were earlier facing a lot of difficulties in registering their students. They had to send applications by post which was time taking. Again compiling the data and issuing the admit cards were also being delayed as the applications took a lot of time to reach its destination. Elaborating the process of online registration, a CBSE official said, "schools need to log on to CBSE's official website www.cbse.nic.in and enter the CBSE affiliation number as user-id and school code as the password. Once the correct inputs are fed, the system will display the school name and school's e-mail id available with the board. After seeing the school name, the user can click 'proceed' button to start entering the data. Once the data is entered, one needs to click on the submit button to save."
As many as 2,200 students are appearing in Dubai for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations. There are over 110 schools affiliated to the CBSE in the Gulf countries of which 52 are in the UAE.
